Christopher Epperson

After experiencing personal struggles, a suicide attempt in high school, and the loss of several friends, Christopher became involved in suicide prevention in 2011. He currently serves on the National Board of Directors for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP), the AFSP Chapter Leadership Council (past chair), the Suicide Prevention Resource Center's Lived Experience Committee, and is a board member of AFSP's Arkansas Chapter. In January 2021, Christopher became co-owner and director of the Soul Shop™ Movement, which focuses on suicide prevention education for faith leaders across the U.S.

In 2020, he received the Distinguished Chapter Leadership Award from AFSP, and under his leadership, the Arkansas Chapter has garnered numerous prestigious awards.

A former youth minister at a Bible church in Tyler, Texas, Christopher is currently enrolled in seminary. He is deeply passionate about offering hope and saving lives for those affected by suicidal desperation.
